Uterine Fibroids

What are they?

Uterine Fibroids are benign (non-cancerous) tumors of the smooth muscle on the uterus...multiple tumors can develop in the wall of the uterus to women between 30 and 50 years of age...especially women who have never been pregnant. Heavy menstruation, backache, constipation and pain with menstruation or intercourse are common symptoms. Sterility may occur if a fallopian tube is blocked. It also can interfere with fetal growth or cause difficult childbirth and bleeding if in or near cervix.  (Mosby Medical Encyclopedia Revised Edition)

We can have all 4 types of these Fibroids: The most common is Intramural fibroidswhich grow in the wall of the uterus. Subserosal fibroids grow outside of the uterus and as they grow larger can cause pain as they put pressure on nearby organs. Submucosal fibroids grow underneath the uterine lining and can crowd the uterine cavity and cause heavy bleeding as well as more serious complications. Pedunculated fibroids grow on stalks inside or outside the uterus.

BeGONE is a natural aromatase inhibitor that cleanses the excess estrogen from the body and reduces estradiol levels.
AROMATASE: Is an enzyme involved in the production of estrogen The aromatase enzyme can be found in many tissues including gonads (granulosa cells), brain, adipose tissue, placenta, blood vessels, skin, and bone, as well as in tissue of endometriosis, uterine fibroids, breast cancer, and endometrial cancer.

Aromatase inhibitors blocks the enzyme aromatase, which turns the hormone androgen into small amounts of estrogen in the body. This means that less estrogen is available to stimulate the growth of hormone-receptor-positive breast cancer cells.
